SpliceRite offers a variety of products used on the assembly floor for both tape splicing and cover tape extenders.
Tape splices are used to join SMD component reels together to allow non-stop machine operation. Machine down time is minimized resulting in significant cost savings and increased production. We have tape splices that are compatible with any brand of SMT placement equipment.
Our cover tape extenders are used when a reel of SMD components doesn't have a tape leader at the beginning of the reel. These quick and easily applied extenders feed into the placement equipment as a piece of cover tape. These cover tape extenders are also compatible with all brands of SMT placement equipment.
We also offer tools designed for the precise cutting of SMD carrier tapes prior to splicing and the splicing tool that quickly and securely joins component reels together with brass or steel clips. These products are compatible with most brands of placement equipment.
